It’s business as usual for the Hong Kong retail sector.
Over the past few weeks, we have received a few calls from some of our exhibitors seeking an update regarding how the Hong Kong protests may affect our Christmas Gift and Lifestyle Fairs. It’s important to state that we do not believe the protests will have any effect whatsoever so it’s business as usual with all Fairs proceeding as planned.
As members of several Hong Kong retail organisations and Government trade departments, we have been receiving consistent updates on the protests and their effect, if any, on the retail sector.
History indicates that the protests are occurring on weekends only. Our Fairs are being held during the week on Tuesday 12th November, Tuesday 26th November and Monday 16th December. There has been no disruption to the retail sector mid-week. It’s business as usual in Hong Kong.
All sources indicate that the protests will not reduce the number of shoppers attending the Fairs or their ability to commute throughout Hong Kong to the Conrad Grand Ballroom.
We have started rolling out our extensive online and print advertising advising locals, expats and Hong Kong visitors to attend the Fairs and are expecting our highest turnout of shoppers this year.
If you have any questions or reservations about the Hong Kong protests, please don’t hesitate to contact us direct.
