Dubla Tray is an "Italian" product. There’s no doubt about it. Just think of aperitivo, wine, finger food. But that’s not the whole story, it begins in Italy, though.

The first time I sketched the plate was summer 2003. I was younger and spent my free time partying. It was always messy to enjoy food and drinks and at the same time to shake hands, hug friends and answer the phone. And at that time selfie didn’t even exist!

Then something (work, life…) happened; the sketch didn’t lead to anything tangible. Not until 2014.

When I arrived in Hong Kong I found people who love to stay with friends and enjoy aperitivo time. So the idea started to grow again. The final push was the vibrant business community that Hong Kong is famous for.

I met people who often have business meetings, coffee breaks and vernissage. I also encountered myriad of bars and restaurants where my plate would have a chance of success. In Hong Kong Dubla Tray took the shape of a true product.

I worked hard on functionality. I wanted to make a product not only beautiful but also pleasant to use.

Balanced. The magic lies on the bottom. By resting the tray on your palm, the weight of drink and food is distributed more evenly. That makes balancing simple and guarantees that you can hold your tray longer time.

Durable. The trays are made from safe and strong melamine which allows the tray to be light and robust at the same time. The product is easy to clean and dishwasher safe.


Versatile. It fits the most typical bowls. That’s useful if you prefer to move from the main course to the dessert without worrying of blended flavors. Dubla Tray can be used with wine glasses as well as tumblers.
